OFN Quote

Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) is proud to be a qualified issuer of the Bond Guarantee Program. CDFIs deliver critical financing where it can have the most impact. The Bond Guarantee Program allows CDFIs from urban, rural, and Native communities to deliver on their mission to provide economic opportunity to disinvested borrowers across the country,"
-Robin Odland, OFN, EVP of Finance

Clearinghouse CDFI Quote

"The U.S. Treasury Bond Guaranty Program (BGP) has established a new level of capital for funding loans in low- and moderate-income communities. It has facilitated our growth as a CDFI to levels we could never have attained without this program. The BGP allows CDFIs to have the impact and scope that brings about meaningful, transformative change in the neighborhoods we serve."
-Douglas Bystry, Clearinghouse CDFI, President/CEO

Kentucky Highlands Quote

"Participating in the BGP has provided Kentucky Highlands with a way to provide long-term fixed-rate financing to borrowers. The financing helped the companies operate more efficiently, expand their facilities and services, and create and retain jobs that are desperately needed in distressed rural communities,"

SOMERSET RECYCLING

"The BGP through Kentucky Highlands has had a positive impact on Somerset Recycling. This financing has reduced our monthly payments and provided the liquidity necessary for our stable and expanding business. We and the frail elderly population we serve greatly appreciate the opportunity afforded us by Kentucky Highland Investment Corp and the Bond Fund," said Alan Keck, President, Somerset Recycling

AMERICAN HEALTH MANAGEMENT

American Health Management was seeking an opportunity to refinance our outstanding debt to reduce our debt service to allow the company to expand its services to the frail elder population of rural Kentucky and to purchase real estate to expand one of our current facilities that had greatly outgrown its current capacity.

"We consulted with Kentucky Highlands Investment Corp and through the CDFI Bond Fund we were able to accomplish both of these objectives and to improve the terms of our debt considerably, with a $3 million loan package. We will now be able to take advantage of changes to our industry and expand our services to a far greater number of frail elderly persons in rural Kentucky and greatly enhance the quality of life for those that will receive our services. In addition to that we are now the proud owner of a significantly improved parcel of commercial real estate that will allow our local facility to expand and serve a larger population locally as well. Eventually this same location will house our corporate office and allow us to more efficiently serve the local facility and the other locations throughout Kentucky" said Kevin Jones, Chief Financial Officer, American Health Management
