RE: Management Training Program

Mon, 2019-06-17 10:27
From : Communities>>Open Forum
Many states have free access to Lynda.com/LinkedIn Learning through their library systems.  The training is not specific to our industry, however, it is professionally done by subject matter experts.  You will find training on a vast range of topics such as workplace harassment, excel,  cash flow for small business, grant writing, holding efficient meetings, lending ratio formulas, etc. If your state has free access it will be on your local libraries website on the Research page.  Hope this is helpful. Thanks to everyone who responded. We got almost 50 responses - far surpassing our expectations. We're putting together a proposal for the OFN conference in October to do a research panel, and hope to announce an outline to move forward with a research collaboration - since it certainly seems we have enough interest! ------------------------------ Jamie McCall Vice President, Policy and Research Carolina Small Business Development Fund Raleigh NC (919) 803-1437 ------------------------------

UPDATE: Hi, everyone.  My original question was to Donna Fabiani-OFN; she said to post it here.  I told her that I would because I was extremely interested in attending a New England User Group meeting, via internet or in person, that if there wasn't a NE User Group  yet , I would be very happy to participate, but NOT lead.  I do not feel like I know enough about OFN,CDFI's, etc. to lead.  We have had seven people express interest in this, as well as another person that volunteered to work on social [More]

Board of Directors Meeting Minute Recording

Tue, 2019-06-11 09:49
From : Communities>>Open Forum
Good morning: There was some discussion around minute taking at Board/Committee meetings in regards to decisions and motions made during those meetings.  Some choose to only record the decisions while others record the decisions and include a brief summary of the conversation that led up to those motions or decisions.   I was curious and wanted to ask what other CDFIs do.  Any feedback is appreciated.  Thank you. ------------------------------ Jennie L.
