On March 15, Lisa Mensah, OFN president and CEO, will deliver a keynote address to a gathering of foundations, investment managers and advisors, resource experts, and asset owners at Confluence Philanthropy’s 8th Annual Practitioners Gathering.

Guided by the theme Disrupt the Now, Lisa will address the synergies that exist between the goals of impact investors and mission of CDFIs. She will talk about how CDFIs are an integral part of the financial ecosystem and how we have grown to encompass loan funds, banks, credit unions, and venture capital funds that seek to connect all communities to capital.

Lisa is one of four keynote speakers. The other featured speakers are W. Kamau Bell (Comedian), Al-Jen Poo (Director, National Domestic Workers Alliance), and Kevin de Len (President Pro-tempore of the California State Senate). Attendees will engage in conversations and strategize about the best use of assets in fulfilling missions, participate in field trips and sessions along three key tracks: Climate Solutions, Social Equity, and Active Owners.

The gathering runs March 13-15 in Berkeley, CA. Watch for posts on Twitter by following @ConfluenceP and the hashtag #ownwhatyouown.
