“OFN is thrilled to report that 2018’s Small Business Finance Forum—our convening of business lenders driven by a common mission of providing responsible financing to our nation’s underserved small businesses—has officially broken all prior year’s attendance records!” today announced Lisa Mensah, OFN’s president and CEO.

At 450+ attendees and rising, the seventh annual Small Business Finance Forum (June 26-27 in Chicago) is firing on all cylinders with a practitioner-driven agenda, peer learning opportunities, and numerous opportunities to network with colleagues from across the country. Adding to the buzz, attendees of SBA’s bi-annual Microloan Program Intermediary Training—being held the day before in the same space—will benefit from the opportunity to stay on for the Forum and network with their small business lender peers.

“This is the second time the SBA has partnered with OFN to offer their Microloan Program training in conjunction with the Small Business Finance Forum,” said Donna Fabiani, OFN’s executive vice president for knowledge sharing. “There are a lot of common issues that are important to attendees of both events, and we are looking forward to having many of the 150+ microloan intermediaries at the Forum. We’re particularly excited to welcome new microloan intermediaries to their first-ever Small Business Finance Forum.”

In addition, the Forum will see the return of the popular Small Business Partner Exhibition for the third year in a row. It is a great opportunity to learn about solutions and build relationships with partners that specialize in helping CDFIs serve small business communities across the country.

“The contributions small businesses make to the vitality and growth of the communities CDFIs serve cannot be understated,” said Ms. Mensah. “It’s an honor each year to host an event of this caliber. I look forward to these two days for the spirit of learning and of community they bring.”
