The cut off for Advocacy Day registration is just a few weeks away, Register today! Advocacy day will be held May 16-17 in Washington, D.C. Your participation at this year’s Advocacy Day will be crucial to make the case to members of Congress about the importance of funding the CDFI Fund in FY18. After you register, take these action steps to ensure members of Congress know the impact CDFIs have nationwide.

After you register, take these action steps to make your Advocacy Day experience the best it can be:

  • Submit your loan data for inclusion on the CDFI Coverage Map. The map is used during Hill meetings to highlight lending by all CDFIs. If you are not on the map, members of Congress will not know about the impact you have in their communities. Contact Chris Bell to submit your loan data.
  • Update your Member Profile: Have your CDFI's latest impact numbers and success stories at the tip of your fingers in this impactful leave behind for all your meetings. Contact Lindsay Li to submit updates to your profile or create a new on if your CDFI does not have one already.
  • Use the power of social media with Congress. The #CDFIsInvest campaign is going steady, and as we lift up the stories of your borrowers we ask you to get your borrowers on board with a simple message: “#CDFIsInvest in Me” Access our campaign toolkit to see resources for your CDFI as well as your borrowers, or contact Lindsay Li with questions or for assistance.
  • Submit Your Borrower Stories: OFN is leveraging borrower stories every day on social media as we head to Capitol Hill in just a few months, showcasing the varied impact of CDFIs across the country. Contact Lindsay Li with questions or to submit a direct link to a story on your website.

Join us to make this the biggest Advocacy Day ever, as we show Congress the strength and impact of our network
