On May 14, OFN opened registration for our first-ever virtual Small Business Finance Forum. A must-anticipated event since 2012, this year the Forum takes place during a global pandemic when CDFIs—America’s financial first responders—are working tirelessly to provide COVID-19 relief and recovery assistance to small businesses across the country. It is in this context that we offer the CDFI industry’s small business community the opportunity to come together virtually June 16-17 to support, inspire, and learn from each other.
Now in its ninth year, the Forum will place a primary focus on COVID-19 short-term relief and long-term recovery efforts for small businesses, as well as the long-term sustainability of CDFIs. The agenda includes sessions on the small business industry sectors CDFIs finance most, portfolio risk management, underwriting in times of uncertainty, capitalization, and CDFI sustainability strategies. For your enjoyment, we will also feature CDFI small business clients throughout the program.
Over the next several weeks leading up to the event, we will share announcements about plenary speakers, breakout sessions, guidance for virtual participation, and more. In the meantime, we hope you will use our promotional toolkit to help spread the word to your network. With nearly 400 attendees in 2019, we hope to reach an even larger audience with this year’s virtual event.
