Last week, the Senate approved $250 million for the CDFI Fund as part of H.R. 6147, a “minibus” package of four funding measures that included the Senate’s FY 2019 Financial Services and General Government (FSGG) appropriations bill.
In July, before adjourning for their August recess, the House of Representatives approved $223 million for the CDFI Fund in its version of the FY 2019 Financial Services and General Government appropriations bill.
As Congress inches closer to the start of the new fiscal year, the House and Senate must negotiate final FY 2019 funding levels for federal programs including the CDFI Fund by September 30. Our industry’s successful advocacy efforts mean the CDFI Fund is well positioned to receive robust funding in FY 2019, but our work is not yet done.
Please continue to advocate on behalf of the CDFI Fund as the appropriations debate in Congress continues by encouraging Congress to accept the Senate-approved funding level of $250 million for the CDFI Fund in FY 2019.
Thank you for your advocacy!
