On this date last year, OFN launched Venturize, a digital public awareness and education campaign designed to inform small business owners about their financing options and help them prepare for the borrowing process.
The campaign is a major initiative to address the rapid growth of online lending, which has dramatically changed the market for small business loans, presenting both CDFIs and small business owners with new and tough challenges.
In its first year, OFN achieved great success with the campaign, generating more than 73 million impressions and engaging more than 300,000 small business owners through the Venturize website.
Today on the campaign’s first anniversary, we’re excited to launch the Venturize video series, featuring a diverse group of small business owners talking about their financing journeys. You’ll hear from business owners that have used a variety of different financing options to start and fuel their businesses and learn how they overcame challenges along the way. They offer practical and inspiring words of wisdom for other business owners and demonstrate how there’s not one, straight path to getting the capital you need to start a business.
