In June 2016, OFN launched Venturize, a digital public awareness and education campaign designed to inform small business owners about their financing options and help them prepare for the borrowing process. The campaign was born out of the rapid growth of online lending, which has dramatically changed the market for small business loans, presenting both CDFIs and small business owners with new challenges. Venturize has achieved great success, generating more than 73 million impressions and more than 250,000 small business owners educated through the campaign.
We’re excited to announce major updates to the Venturize website that will enable us to help even more small business owners learn about their loan options and #borrowconfidently:
- Venturize en Español: Much of Venturize.org has been translated into Spanish making it more accessible than ever before. Simply click on the “Español” toggle at the top of the page to access the Spanish language version of the site.
- InVent, the Venturize blog: InVent features news stories, educational content from CDFIs and responsible lenders, borrower success stories and more insights into the world of small business lending and development. Interested in featuring your content on InVent? Contact us!
- Share Your Story: We want to hear from small business owners about their borrowing experiences and from CDFIs about how they invest in small businesses every day. Now you can use the Venturize story uploader to submit a success story and have it featured on the Venturize blog!
- Feedback survey: Much research and planning went into the design of Venturize, and now we’re hoping to hear from small business owners about what’s helpful on Venturize and how it could be better. Encourage your small business borrowers to visit Venturize.org and complete the quick, five-question survey.
With more updates to come, we hope that you will join OFN in amplifying the success of this campaign by not only encouraging your borrowers to visit the site, but also by putting Venturize’s tools and resources to work for your CDFI. Whether you actively use Venturize’s resources when working directly with borrowers or refer borrowers to the site to help them stay informed and prepare to apply for a loan, Venturize is here to help.
