On Wednesday, November 15, the Urban Institute and the Citi Foundation co-hosted a line-up of high-impact organizations and visionary thought leaders to discuss innovative programs and strategies that drive positive economic outcomes for low- and moderate-income residents across the country. OFN President and CEO, Lisa Mensah, delivered the keynote. The event was livestreamed and a full recording of the day is available here.
Lisa’s remarks, titled “Progress from Partnership” and highlight how CDFIs partner across public, private, for-profit, and nonprofit sectors to bring capital to the communities they serve to provide community-led resources such as facilities and businesses. In related news, on November 1, Citi Foundation announced the expansion of the Community Progress Makers Fund. Six 2016 Community Progress Maker awardees are OFN Members and include: Corporation for Supportive Housing in L.A.; Enterprise Community Partners in NYC, the Bay Area and D.C.; LISC in NYC; and Latino Economic Development Corporation in D.C.
