Philanthropist MacKenzie Scott Supports 24 OFN Member CDFIs in Latest Giving
This past July, philanthropist MacKenzie Scott shared an update on her pledge to donate a majority of her wealth. She listed 116 nonprofit organizations – including seven OFN member CDFIs – that her pledge had supported, totaling $1.7 billion. Now just a few months later, she has donated another $4.2 billion to 384 organizations nationwide, including an additional 24 OFN members.
We’re proud to see the following CDFIs recognized by Scott and her team of advisors for their impact in the communities they serve across the country:

Scott and her team engaged in a rigorous, data-driven due diligence process to select this most recent round of organizations, with 6,490 organizations considered. Yet Scott says she’s still far from completing her pledge and encourages others to give what they can too.
“If you’re craving a way to use your time, voice, or money to help others at the end of this difficult year, I highly recommend a gift to one of the thousands of organizations doing remarkable work all across the country,” Scott shared in her announcement.
