Registration for the 2019 OFN Conference in Washington, D.C., is officially open! We anticipate more than 1,500 practitioners, investors, and policymakers to join us at the Washington Hilton from October 20-23 to learn, network, and celebrate how CDFIs lend where it counts to bring economic opportunity to rural, urban, and Native communities around the country.
“We’re excited to be back in Washington again this year, OFN’s new home town,” said Donna Fabiani, Executive Vice President of Knowledge Sharing at OFN. “We’ve put together a rich, practitioner-led curriculum. Sessions will be posted online on a rolling basis as they are confirmed—we hope you’ll check the agenda often to see what’s been added. With more than 50 sessions across 11 tracks, there is sure to be something of interest for every attendee.”
Attendees can also look forward to many formal and informal networking opportunities, moving awards ceremonies celebrating innovation and lifetime achievement, thought-provoking plenary speakers, advocacy visits to the Hill, and evening receptions.
“We invite attendees to meet with Members of Congress and their staffs, to talk about how CDFIs invest in their communities and benefit their constituents,” added Donna. “If you’d like to participate in advocacy while you’re here in D.C., we can help to set up your meetings and afterwards we hope you’ll plan to stay and mingle with Members and staff informally at our Congressional reception.”
“One highlight of the Conference each year I know everyone looks forward to is the CDFIs in Action neighborhood tours,” Donna continued. “Our 2019 co-hosts have worked very hard to put together this year’s tours showing off the diversity of CDFI investment across the region, including a tour in Baltimore on Sunday afternoon.”
