Representative Barbara Lee (D-CA) to Receive CDFI Congressional Champion Award at OFN Conference

On October 22, Rep. Barbara Lee, longtime champion of the CDFI Fund and Chair of the Democratic Whip Task Force on Poverty, Income Inequality, and Opportunity will accept the 2019 CDFI Congressional Champion Award at a Capitol Hill reception following OFN’s “An Afternoon on Capitol Hill.”  Additional 2019 CDFI Congressional Champion Awardees will be announced soon.  

Interested OFN Conference attendees may also pre-register (deadline September 18) to participate in an “An Afternoon on Capitol Hill” immediately preceding the Capitol Hill reception. OFN staff will schedule appointments with congressional offices for “An Afternoon on Capitol Hill” registrants so you can tell the CDFI story to your elected federal officials.  

ALL conference attendees are invited to join Representative Lee, other Members of Congress, and congressional staff at the Hill reception (even if you are not participating in the “An Afternoon on Capitol Hill” congressional visits).
