CDB-L is an active, free, ongoing e-mail discussion group for opportunity finance practitioners. Its more than 4,400 subscribers include all four types of CDFIs—community development loan funds, credit unions, banks, and venture capital funds—as well as like-minded people from corporations, foundations, government, and mainstream finance.
Subscribers typically use the CDB-L to engage each other on a timely topic. They may pose an industry question or share relevant information, such as press releases, events, articles, publications, or job postings.
Founded by Bill Myers in 1994, the CDB-L was acquired by OFN in 2011. OFN is proud to manage this valuable resource for the opportunity finance field.
On July 1, 2014, CDB-L took up its new home on ofn.org. Read our FAQ to learn more about this transition.

OFN moderates all posts.
To keep the conversation lively and differentiated, we recommend organizations or individuals only one post once per month on any promotional topics (e.g. promotions for an event, publication, or program).
In October 2017, OFN will be launching an exciting new product: an online community for the CDFI industry to network, collaborate, and learn.
Much like CDB-L, the new platform will be a free, on-going discussion group for opportunity finance practitioners. Plus, the online community will have additional features such as enhanced search capability, a user directory, file sharing, and OFN-produced resources for CDFIs and the industry.
