Development and Capitalization

As the Chief Development Officer for OFN, Tony Berkley leads strategic partnering, fundraising, and capital markets initiatives to scale and address the needs of OFN members and communities. A pioneering institutional investor, he successfully developed impact investing programs and co-investment products, helping grow Impact Investing into a field with more than $1T in AUM. He has successfully built and managed multi-asset class, market rate Private Equity & Credit strategies at a Top 10 Private Foundation ($10B in AUM), a Fortune 50 Financial Services Firm, and a Global Foundation (Saudi Arabia). As the Director of ACT at the FII Institute, a nonprofit organization with 1,000 paying members, Tony hosts the world’s largest investor conference held annually outside of Europe and North America. He grew the impact portfolio from $250 million to $1 billion in five years at Prudential Financial, Inc., implemented its Impact Management Framework, and developed multiple blended finance structures. At the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, he launched the Impact Investing platform and deployed $100 million in a high-performing multi-asset class portfolio, including CDFIs prominently. He holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and is a former Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan.
