Daniel’s Candidate Statement

I am honored to submit my candidacy for a position on OFN’s board. In a rapidly changing world, prioritizing the needs of vulnerable populations is not only crucial for maintaining equitable social outcomes but also a moral imperative. With a deep commitment to community development and a robust background in finance, I am confident in my ability to contribute significantly to the mission and goals of our organization.

From my early years in investment banking on Wall Street, I recognized a steep disparity between market profitability and the market’s underlying beneficiaries. This experience provided me with a keen understanding of the financial industry’s potential to both harm and help communities. Motivated by a desire to use financial knowledge for the greater good, my focus for the past decade has been on leveraging finance for community development and addressing these disparities through people-centric lending and investments.
