Liz has played an instrumental role throughout her career in program design, brand elevation and funder/investor relations strategy raising more than $160 million in investments and grant awards. Prior to founding Tern Strategies, Liz was Chief Communications Officer at Coastal Enterprises, Inc. (CEI), where she managed CEI Investment Notes, doubling notes capital to nearly $18 million. Serving in executive leadership, Liz’s issue-driven communications initiatives at CEI and, previously, at Oral Health America, were influential in audience engagement and policy change. Earlier, Liz owned Rogers Public Relations Co. and was a producer at Chicago Public Radio.
