Marisa’s Candidate Statement
It is an honor to be nominated for the board of Opportunity Finance Network (OFN).
The American Dream is defined as “the ideal by which equality of opportunity is available to any American, allowing the highest aspirations and goals to be achieved”. In our current American landscape, that dream is quickly slipping away for many people. Life has changed radically for new generations due to technology, rising costs, outdated or changed policies, population growth, and shifting worldviews. These changes often leave low-income, low-wealth, and other disadvantaged people and communities without access to responsible, affordable financial products and services.
