Mark’s Candidate Statement

I am honored to accept the nomination to be considered as a candidate for the Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) Board of Directors. I believe that by working together, we can continue to build stronger CDFIs and more resilient communities.

I’m Mark Masterson, Executive Director at the Neighborhood Community Development Fund (NCDF) in Pittsburgh, PA. NCDF is a neighborhood-focused CDFI that started on the city’s Northside nearly 25 years ago. Our mission is to build stronger neighborhoods together with our community partners. I oversee all aspects of NCDF, from interfacing with key stakeholders to implementing strategic business plans to fundraising loan capital. With more than 30 years of experience in community organizing, affordable housing, small business and community development finance, I bring unique experience and knowledge to our organization as we work to help underserved communities receive the capital, resources and assistance they need to prosper.
