Summary
This is an awesome opportunity for someone eager to use their previous lending and administrative skills to assist the Program Manager’s efforts to increase our SBA 7a Community Advantage loan volume.
The perfect person for this role has prior experience with SBA 7a loans, and exceptional attention to detail and impeccable customer service.
Responsibilities
- Process loan inquiries and provide potential borrowers with application materials and customized loan proposals.
- Manage all client contact during loan processing.
- Complete data entry for each loan into Salesforce, Ventures, and partner platforms, while continually keeping notes and statuses up-to-date in Salesforce throughout the process to ensure accurate pipeline reporting.
- Request, collect, and review documentation as it is received for completeness of accordance with checklist then create/update list of items needed to complete credit memorandums and loan narratives.
- Analyze financials and project scope of small business applicants for feasibility, ability to pay and SBA eligibility.
- Present concise write-ups recommending loans to the internal credit committee and SBA for review and approval.
- Ensure the loan file is complete and audit-ready.
- Transfer information and files to the closing team effectively.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, preferably with an emphasis in finance or accounting; and/or 4-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in commercial lending practices as it relates to SBA lending. Experience in SBA lending/underwriting preferred.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Strong people and communication skills, capable of interacting with various personality types and work levels.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and phone and email etiquette skills.
- Organized, disciplined thinker able to work independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of CRM databases, with Salesforce experience being a plus.
- Ability to track and manage details for multiple clients and projects, prioritizing against daily responsibilities.
