Background

HOPE’s Investor Relations team secures and manage funds that fuel HOPE’s work. The Investor Relations Associate is responsible for working closely with the Investor Relations team to complete a range of duties to support raising individual contributions and grants for the organization.

Summary

The Investor Relations Associate is responsible for working closely with the Investor Relations team to complete a range of duties to support raising individual contributions and grants for the organization. Work requires that the employee use considerable judgment and creativity in organizing and managing the work flow and assuring that all deadlines are met and activities are coordinated. This position is located at the corporate office in Jackson, MS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management support for Investor Relations related to proposals, reports, and ongoing projects
  • Gather data and corporate documentation for funding proposals, reports, and other documents related to Investor Relations
  • Write sections or full grant applications as assigned
  • Manage, update, and query databases and records regarding existing funders, prospects, and contributions
  • Conduct and disseminate research regarding funding trends, grant opportunities, and individual contributions
  • Process individual contributions and grants for accounting related to Investor Relations, including use of Salesforce for data entry of contributions and tax receipts
  • Confirm, verify, and/or follow-up on pledged gifts, matching gift contributions, and provide information to donors/funder and prospective donors as needed
  • Participate in, schedule, and respond to communications with funders as required
  • Attend marketing events, review campaign letters, compile, and coordinate mail lists and handle other duties as required
  • Lead and support Strengthening HOPE Initiative that values an organizational culture for open communication, innovation, associate engagement and other traits that contribute to collaboration and high performance.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as attending meetings, report production
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of funder-related activities, periodic mailings, and special events
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must comply with provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Confidentiality and applicable client/customer non-disclosure and confidentiality
  • Must comply with all provisions of the Privacy of Consumer Financial Information
  • Must comply with all provisions of the Right to Financial Privacy Act Competencies/Skills
  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; past experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Must be a continuous learner who enjoys taking on new challenges
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 3 years of experience performing the duties described in the Essential Functions above or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
