Summary

Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) has an exciting new opening for a Senior Associate with our Information Technology & Operations team.  The Sr. Associate supports the OFN’s technology infrastructure and daily information technology operations and plays a crucial role in providing timely and efficient technical support, facilitating system and software implementation, and contributing to the overall enhancement of OFN’s technology environment. The Sr. Associate is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust information technology services and ensure seamless operations throughout the organization. Responsibilities

  • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 information technology support for staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime and smooth user experience.
  • Manage and maintain conference room audio-visual systems, ensuring all equipment is properly functioning for meetings, presentations, and hybrid communications.
  • Assist with set-up and configuration of workstations, mobile devices, printers, and other technology resources for both new and existing employees.
  • Support the administration and maintenance of core IT systems, including user account management, software updates, and security monitoring.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for technical issues, responding promptly to service tickets and escalating more complex problems to senior team members as necessary.
  • Assist in managing cloud-based systems, network configurations, and hardware inventory to ensure that all IT assets are secure, up-to-date, and effectively utilized.
  • Work closely with the SVP, Information Technology & Facilities to implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, including system upgrades, migrations, and process improvements.
  • Play an active role in transitioning IT support functions in-house by gradually phasing out reliance on the managed service provider. Act as a point of contact for OFN’s managed service provider during the transition period, ensuring a smooth and comprehensive handover of IT support responsibilities.
  • Collaborate closely with OFN’s managed service provider to gain a deep understanding of current IT support processes, documenting key knowledge and procedures.
  • Assist with IT project planning and coordination, including new technology deployments, system upgrades, and software rollouts.
  • Partner across the organization to support technology needs, providing guidance and assistance to ensure smooth adoption of tools and platforms.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of IT policies, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to streamline support operations and ensure consistency in service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of IT best practices, ensuring that support activities align with industry standards and organizational goals.
  • Provide input on technology-related policies, including cybersecurity, data privacy, and acceptable use, to promote a secure and compliant work environment.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years direct experience in lieu of a degree, associate’s degree plus relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field required.
  • 2-3 years of direct experience in IT support, systems administration, or operations in a organizational environment.
  • Demonstrated technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve hardware, software, and networking issues efficiently.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms, office networking, and conferencing technologies; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and AV systems.
  • Professional experience in community development finance and with nonprofit financial statements is highly beneficial.
  • A strong passion for, understanding of, and commitment to OFN’s mission, vision, and values; familiarity with the CDFI industry strongly preferred where one can be a fearless advocate, who is confident and resilient in OFN’s fight to drive capital into low-income communities.
  • A collaborative team player who possesses good interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the organization, humility, and a willingness to learn in all areas of our work.
  • Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) tools and practices, including ticketing systems and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong collaboration and customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance the demands of working on multiple tasks simultaneously independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to community development is highly beneficial.
  • Limited travel required <10%.
  • No extraordinary physical requirements beyond ability to travel.
  • Job involves normal physical requirements for an office position.

Compensation and Benefits

The full salary range for Sr. Associate leveled employees is $68,300 to $123,500.

Salaries paid at Opportunity Finance Network will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance. The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the position level.
