OFN is committed to racial equity. Which is why we are pleased to have been invited to join an important collaborative work as part of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s unprecedented Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) initiative. OFN is one of more than 70 diverse organizations participating in the co-design of the initiative, a process taking place from now through December 2016.
“OFN has been invited to be on the ground floor to shape this national work over the next 10 years” says Annie Holmes, Vice President, Equity at OFN. “We are excited to participate on three of the five design groups significant to community and economic development. It is my hope that the CDFI industry benefits from our involvement with the Kellogg Foundation on this instrumental work. OFN’s involvement and participation in this important work will inform our own equity work and build broader partnerships for OFN and the CDFI industry.”
This effort will help shape the next 10 years of the Foundation’s work in engaging communities in racial healing, and change efforts to address structural racism and current inequities with short- and long-term strategies for meaningful change.
